The deputy head of the Russian Guard in the DPR, Colonel Alexander Khodakovsky, supported Igor Strelkov (Girkin), who is serving a sentence “for calls for extremist activities.” Khodakovsky believes that the “post-Donbass” position taken by ex-Minister of Defense of the DPR Strelkov “could not fail to cause a reaction,” while noting that he is “one of the founders of the Russian spring, and it is not right to forget about this.”
In his Telegram channel, he drew attention to the fact that “the dramatic and contradictory history of Donbass is not over yet, it triggered tectonic changes that had been brewing for a long time, but had the appearance of a paused pregnancy.” Now, he wrote, “‘the waters have already broken,’ but birth is still ahead—either the birth of a new life or a stillborn child.”
“We are doing everything possible to extend the life of our people, just as it extends in our children, but this cannot be achieved through a caesarean section,” he is confident, recalling Strelkov in this regard.
Speaking about the “post-Donbass history” of the former Minister of Defense of the DPR, Khodakovsky spoke as follows:
“At first it seemed to me that his task was to cause a split in the passionary movement. It was amazing how a smart person could easily ignore the truth and indulge in personal hostility of such a nature that he inevitably shot himself in the foot. I could only explain this by saying that he now has a special mission – to prevent the forces that have realized themselves in new circumstances from consolidating.”
But with the beginning of the Northern Military District, notes the founder of the Vostok battalion, it no longer seemed that way to him.
“It was easier for me, I was with part of those whom I raised in the fourteenth, and continued my campaign in the now new conditions,” continues the deputy head of the Russian Guard. – He’s the same [Стрелков] found himself out of work at a time when it was impossible to be out of work. Because of this, he stopped assessing himself soberly, or there were other reasons, but the position he took could not but cause a reaction.”
Nevertheless, Khodakovsky emphasizes, Strelkov is “one of the founders of the Russian spring, and it is not right to forget about this.”
“I don’t agree that that page has already been turned. Any page can be turned, but the storyline always goes from prologue to epilogue,” the colonel emphasized.
As EADaily reported, despite the weak hopes of the patriotic public, the former Minister of Defense of the DPR, Russian patriot Igor Strelkov (Girkin) received four years in prison on January 25 “for calls for extremist activities.” The court also prohibited Strelkov from administering Internet resources for three years after his release. At the same time, the court took into account the period of detention of the convicted person in a pre-trial detention center at the investigation stage – seven months. The verdict has not yet entered into force and can be appealed to the appellate court.
The deputy head of the Russian Guard in the DPR, Colonel Alexander Khodakovsky, said then that “he himself has not yet figured out his motives, but he feels that he would prefer to see Strelkov free.”
