In Russia, the Russian girl who had been taken away from her father because she had drawn a drawing against the war in Ukraine was returned to her mother. The girl was handed over to her mother, who was separated from her husband, and that she had been estranged from the family for at least seven years, it is not clear why. The Russian Children’s Commissioner Maria Lvova Belova said the teenager, Maria Moskalyova, at first did not want to go to her mother, but then she changed her mind. The father was sentenced to two years in prison on Tuesday for criticizing the invasion, but it is unclear where he is. The case arose after her 13-year-old daughter drew a drawing last year showing Russian missiles fired at a Ukrainian woman and child. The principal warned the police that she also discovered comments against the Russian ‘special operation’ on the social networks of her father, at the time the only family member of the girl. The 13-year-old was then sent to an orphanage, with a ban on calling her father, and he was placed under house arrest, from which he then escaped the night before the sentence. Belarusian authorities say they arrested him in Minsk last week, but it was never confirmed and there has been no information since then on his whereabouts.
