Lavrov made the comments in an opinion piece published Friday in a Russian magazine; Razvedchikarguing that a new multipolar world order is taking place in the West.
“The strategic objectives of China’s systemic deterrence have been formulated, including as part of the so-called Indo-Pacific strategy,” Lavrov wrote.
“The evil practice of interfering in the internal affairs of a country [lain], including the Belarusian fraternal countries, has not stopped. Trade and economic blockade [terhadap] Cuba has not been uprooted for many years…. Overall, now no one is safe from mafia-style attacks from the United States and its satellites,” the Russian diplomat said.
Lavrov has made countless comments about the US and the West since Russia began its invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, which Moscow claims is a “special military operation”.
Last December, he called the situation “war” for the first time, which did not resonate with how the Kremlin has characterized it.
Last month, he blamed “American privilege” and the United States’ perceived perception of perfection and excellence for leading to a “proxy war” against Russia.
In December, he told Channel One that the Ukraine war was orchestrated by the US and backed by the European Union since what he described as the Kiev coup in 2014. That was the year Russia annexed Crimea after the Maidan Revolution that led to the overthrow of pro-Kremlin Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych.
