(Belga) The Russian Foreign Ministry has once again warned against Western arms deliveries to Ukraine and the possible consequences for NATO. The delivery of weapons or planes could not improve the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Monday, quoted by the Russian state agency Tass.
On the contrary, it would cause a “catastrophic evolution of the situation not only in Ukraine, but also in the NATO countries”, she underlined. Ms Zakharova warned of a “global collapse” if Western weapons fell into the hands of Ukrainian fighters. Russia has been carrying out a violent military offensive in Ukraine since February 24, killing several hundred people. (Belga)
