Russian forces are tightening their grip on the town of Bakhmut, and the remaining Ukrainian forces there are hard pressed, according to British intelligence.
According to the British Ministry of Defence daily intelligence update on Twitter soldiers from the Russian Wagner group have advanced further in the northern suburbs of Bakhmut.
Two strategic bridges have also been blown up, which has made it increasingly difficult for Ukrainian forces to bring in supplies and reinforcements, it added.
