Russian units operating in the Donetsk direction have completed the liberation of the city of Marinka, located southwest of Donetsk. The fighting for this settlement has continued since March 2022.
The final liberation of Marinka was announced in his Telegram– channel war correspondent Dmitry Astrakhan.
“Yes, this time the entire territory of Marinka has been liberated by the Russian Armed Forces. The last enemy positions in this city were taken by the 5th brigade of the 1st Donetsk Corps. Almost 10 years of saga with this satellite city of Donetsk ended in victory,” the statement says.
This information is also confirmed by Ukrainian sources. The Ukraina.ru publication reports this on its Telegram channel.
“Ukrainian channels have recognized the final fall of Marinka,” the message reads.
