BRATISLAVA. Russian offensive footballer Kirill Nikitin returns to his native country after two years in Slovan Bratislava. He did not play a single championship match for the A-team.
The 20-year-old winger played for the second division junior team. Although he attracted attention on the pitch, he did not score a single goal in the season just ended.
“He is an interesting, speedy player, he has an excellent left-hander and a great shot at the goal,” Slovan junior coach Vladimír Gála told Sportnet about Nikitin.
“He is a very promising footballer who we are definitely counting on in the future. Already in the summer he was preparing with the A-team, which was felt in a good sense of the word,” he said in the fall.
Due to the war unleashed by Russia in Ukraine, he did not have an easy adaptation. “He is a 19-year-old boy who is separated from his family,” explained Gála.
The Russian youth representative from the category up to 17 or 18 years old is returning to his native country after the end of his contract in Slovan.
From the summer, he will be a regular player of the Russian second division club SKA Khabarovsk. However, he can still play for the junior team.
