Vladimir Putin has been a figure of identification in the right-wing extremist milieu for years, and his anti-tank policies and authoritarian demeanor impress these circles. “We want someone like Putin,” was the headline in the right-wing extremist magazine Info Direkt, which is published in Upper Austria, back in 2015.
