Russian fighter plane crashes near Ukrainian border, pilot killed

Fighter Russia crashed near the Ukrainian border. As a result, the pilot died.

“On June 21, a Su-25 plane crashed in the Rostov region during a planned flight training. The pilot died,” Russian news agencies reported. AFPWednesday (22/6/2022).

The accident was suspected to be due to a technical malfunction of the aircraft. Even so, a team from the Russian air force was dispatched to the location.

The only person on the fighter plane was the pilot. The fighter is a Sukhoi Su-25, an armored aircraft.

The Russian side did not mention that the downing of the Sukhoi Su-25 was related to the ongoing military offensive in Ukraine.

On June 17, another Su-25 also crashed in the Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine. Russian authorities also said there was a technical problem that caused the crash.
