In Russia, they are increasingly hinting at serious problems in the economy due to Putin’s war against Ukraine.
The Russian army’s invasion of Ukraine is beginning to hit the Russian economy more and more. The country’s enterprises complain that they are experiencing an acute shortage of workers against the backdrop of mobilization and the death of Russians at the front. Against the backdrop of a shortage of eggs and rising prices in the Russian Federation, director of the Aksai poultry farm Natalya Shumechkova in an interview with the publication “City N” stated that they have 30% of their staff missing at the enterprise.
Thus, the labor shortage in Russia is becoming an increasingly serious problem.
The shortage of workers leads to a decrease in the production of eggs, as well as other food products. There is already a shortage of eggs in the Russian Federation; their prices have risen sharply. There are so few workers that they are being recruited to the enterprise on a rotational basis: people are transported from a neighboring area, 120 km away.
“Everything in the stores has become more expensive, but for some reason they paid attention to eggs,” – the woman makes excuses.
The labor shortage in Russia is a consequence of several factors, including:
– mass emigration from the country after the start of the war in Ukraine;
– departure of foreign companies from Russia;
– deterioration of the economic situation in the country;
– mobilization;
The Russian government is trying to solve the problem of labor shortage, including by attracting foreign workers, but so far this has not yielded results.
We previously reported that eggs in the Russian Federation have risen in price since the beginning of 2023 at 53%.
Let us remind you that a poll showed that for Russians topic No. 1 in 2023, egg prices began to rise.
