“Russian Drone Attack Hits Infrastructure at Port of Odesa, Ukraine”

A Russian drone attack is said to have hit infrastructure at the port of Odesa on the night of Monday, the Ukrainian defense reports.

Odesa is a very important city for Ukraine’s grain exports. Only ports in the Odesa region can export grain and other foodstuffs from Ukraine by sea.

This export is secured through the grain agreement concluded between Russia and Ukraine last summer, with Turkey and the UN as observers.

It is currently unknown whether the alleged damage threatens exports. The Ukrainian defense reports that information about the extent of the damage will come as soon as it is available.

On the night of Monday, an attack near the Ukrainian capital was also thwarted.

More than 40 Russian rockets and drones, which were heading towards Kyiv, were shot down, claims the Military Administration in Kyiv.
