Taking painkillers is the easiest way for some to get used to relieving various pain without awareness of the seriousness of overuse and the health damage that results from it.
Therefore, the Russian physician “Alexander Miasnikov” warned against excessive use of recognized painkillers, stressing that sometimes their harm is greater than their benefit.
“Miyasnikov”, in televised statements, referred to the dangerous side effects caused by painkillers, which include myocardial infarction, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases, and may sometimes lead to death.
He explained that the common painkillers are mainly non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and indeed they help relieve pain, but their side effects are multiple and dangerous.
The famous Russian doctor warned against giving these analgesic drugs to those over the age of sixty-five, and those suffering from heart diseases, stressing the need to familiarize themselves with the composition of these painkillers before taking them, noting that some of them contain a drug that may harm those who take them.
