“Excess body fat impairs blood circulation, which may increase the risk of prostate cancer,” says the oncologist.

He continued: “Excess fat in the body impairs blood circulation, causing a lack of oxygen to the cells. As a result, some cells die and release chemicals called chemokines, which promote inflammation. This leads to the disruption of immune control mechanisms, which increases the risk of prostate cancer.”

“Maintaining a healthy weight and following a healthy lifestyle can help prevent prostate cancer,” Michael advised.

He added: “Excess weight is the main cause of metabolic disorders in the body, and this is due to several factors such as an unhealthy diet and lack of physical activity.”

He pointed out that there are several ways in which the risk of developing these health problems can be reduced, including:

Exercise regularly.

Follow a healthy diet that contains plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Consult a specialist doctor.
