Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, commented on the missile attack on a cafe in the village of Groza, Kharkov region, which killed 52 people.
“As you know, at the time of the strike, the funeral of one of the high-ranking Ukrainian nationalists was taking place there. Of course, many of his neo-Nazi accomplices took part in them. It is no coincidence that in the photographs published on social networks immediately after the strike, almost all the bodies belong to men of military age,” the diplomat said at a meeting at UN headquarters.
According to him, the “Kiev regime” has more than once “wrung its hands over those killed as a result of attacks on hotels, hostels, and shops.” “And then more obituaries appeared about military and foreign mercenaries. This is such a coincidence. We do not rule out that the same will happen with Groza,” Nebenzya concluded.
On October 5, the Russian military launched a missile attack on a cafe and a store in the village of Groza, Kharkov region. There was a memorial service for Andrey Kozyr, a Ukrainian soldier who died near Popasna. As a result of the strike, 52 people were killed, including Andrei Kozyr’s son Denis, who was also a military man, Denis’s wife Nina, as well as his grandfather, grandmother and mother-in-law. Among the dead is an eight-year-old child.
The Russian Ministry of Defense did not comment on the attack on the village of Groza. Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov declaredthat the Russian military does not attack civilian targets in Ukraine. “Strikes are being carried out on military infrastructure facilities, places where military personnel and representatives of the military leadership gather,” he said.
