Details: Shoigu noted that Finland would become a member of the alliance in the near future.
In his opinion, NATO is strengthening its anti-Russian course, increasing military assistance to Ukraine, carrying out measures to increase combat readiness and intensifying activities near the borders of Russia and Belarus.
All this creates risks of a significant expansion of the conflict, but it will not affect the outcome of the “special operation” (the war against Ukraine – ed.), Shoigu said.
The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation said that the Iskander-M missile system, capable of using nuclear missiles, was handed over to the Belarusian military. On April 3, training of the Belarusian crews of the complex began at the training ground in Russia.
Recall: April, 4 Finland becomes the 31st member of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) after the record-breaking completion of the ratification of entry into this defense alliance.
On March 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Moscow and Minsk had agreed to place tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus. Russian Ambassador to Minsk Boris Gryzlov specified that Russian tactical nuclear weapons would be “moved” to the western borders of the “Union State”.
