Minister of Defense (Minister of Defense) Russia Sergei Shoigu ordered Russian military generals to prioritize the destruction of long-range missiles and artillery weapons Ukraine in the ongoing invasion. This order was given after Western-supplied weapons were used against Russian supply lines.
As reported ReutersMonday (18/7/2022), almost five months since the President Vladimir Putin Ordering the deployment of troops to Ukraine on February 24, Russian troops have continued to pound the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine and are now reportedly occupying about one-fifth of Ukraine’s territory.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Shoigu, one of Putin’s closest allies, inspected the Vostok group fighting in Ukraine.

“(Shoigu) instructed commanders to give priority to long-range missiles and artillery weapons of the enemy,” the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The Russian Defense Ministry also stated that the weapons were used to attack residential areas in the Russian-controlled Donbas region and deliberately set fire to wheat fields and grain storage silos.
Reuters could not independently verify the Russian report.
News agency Star showed Shoigu, who was wearing a combat uniform, speaking next to Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.
The United States and its allies have sent billions of dollars worth of weapons to Ukraine since Russia launched its invasion. Among the weapons sent by the West were long-range weapons, which Kiev called, starting to help its troops on the battlefield.
