Russian court refuses to remove Nobel Peace Prize speaker Muratov from the list of “foreign agents” / Article

Muratov said in a written statement to the court that he cannot be considered a “foreign agent” because he has not received foreign funding, is not under foreign influence and has only Russian citizenship.

He also admitted that he knows in advance what the court’s decision will be, because those who are against the “special military campaign”, because the war in Ukraine is called to officially in Russia, hoping to be free.

“Of course, I don’t support the “special military operation” – I don’t understand it. I don’t understand why it started and what Russia considers a victory,” Muratova said in the statement.

Last September, Muratov was labeled a “foreign agent” because he allegedly used “foreign social media platforms” to spread comments aimed at “creating a negative image of Russia’s foreign and domestic policy.”
