The Russian comedian duo Vovan and Lexus have made a career in their home country playing tricks on high-profile politicians.
In 2022, they gained a lot of attention when they pretended to be Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a conversation with former US President George W. Bush.
In a new episode of the comedians’ own YouTube show, published on 6 December, it emerges that yet another head of state has gone five, namely Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
See the startling conversation in the video at the top of the story.
The Prime Minister’s office confirms to Dagbladet that the conversation took place at the beginning of October, and that the person pretended to be “leader of the commission in the African Union”. Now they are announcing stricter routines.
– Such incidents should not occur, and fortunately belong to the rarity. We have gone through our routines and updated and improved them, to prevent this from happening again, says communications manager Anne Kristin Hjukse at the Prime Minister’s office to Dagbladet.
