“Russia has bought a large amount of 3D printers from China, and they have been placed in civilian companies for the production of drones,” said NBS major, National Guard staff officer Jānis Slaidiņš in the TV24 program “Actualāis par military activities in Ukain”, referring to the British newspaper “Financial Times” published information.
“One example is the Tambov bread factory, where 12 thousand drones can be produced per year. The Russian propaganda itself also made a film about this bakery. Showed lines of breadcrumbs going and then drones appearing. It’s no wonder, because Russia involves these companies,” said NBS major Slaidinš.
According to open information sources, at least 500 Russian civilian companies are currently involved in the production of military industrial goods. “Besides, they [maizes kombinātā] still produces military backpacks. The production of hockey sticks has switched to the production of body armor, and agricultural companies produce both binoculars and electronic warfare equipment, sleeping bags and drones,” said Slaidinš in the TV24 program, talking about what civilian companies in Russia have started to produce for military purposes.
On the other hand, speaking about the Tambov bread factory, the NBS major pointed out that it produces cheap “Бекац” drones. “Down payment 270 US dollars for him – nothing special! But by equipping him with a projectile, it becomes a deadly weapon for both people and equipment, for anything,” Slaidins explained.
Do Ukrainians do the same? To that Slaidiņš replied: “Ukrainians, of course, also produce.” Or in a bakery? However, Slaidiņš did not know whether it was produced directly at a bread factory in Ukraine.
“Probably not, but it should be passed. How much does a 3D printer cost? A 3D printer doesn’t cost much… In Ukraine you can see those drones starting to appear more because they are offsetting the artillery. Okay, he doesn’t have that piercing ability, but we’ve seen it countless times here – this little turd flies off equipped and destroys a 3 million worth tank. Yes, it means that Russia is reorganizing everything for the military industry,” concluded Slaidinš in the TV24 program “Actual about the war in Ukraine”.
