“Russian children speak worse than migrants”: Pyotr Tolstoy with a furor in the Council of the Federation of the Russian Federation – 2024-04-21 04:14:14

/ world today news/ In October of this year, the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Peter Tolstoy smashed Russia’s main enemies to dust. He went through all the pain points of the country: education, migrants, “scared patriots” and so on. A month passed and the deputy decided to consolidate what was said at the parliamentary hearings in the Federation Council. Portable – Punch. What sores did the descendant of the famous classic reveal this time?

Detractors call Pyotr Tolstoy a populist. They say he has deftly mastered the looming conservative turn in the corridors of power and is simply carrying out his agenda. They say that the country has completely different problems. What kind? Money of course! More precisely, their lack.

That’s what the critics will say – and they’ll be right. But only partially. The problems posed by Pyotr Tolstoy: language, education, demography, upbringing, migration policy – determine the well-being of the country’s inhabitants. Let’s solve them, then there will be even more money.

It is quite obvious that the predominance of guest workers who cannot speak even two words of the Russian language does not contribute either to improving the quality of service, or to the safety or comfort of local residents.

Unfortunately, the situation when you cannot explain the location of your entrance to the courier over the phone because he does not understand a word is becoming the norm. The question is, do we need such couriers?

Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov believes they are necessary. Pyotr Tolstoy is categorically against it, as we are sure, and the majority of citizens of our country.

“If Russian is not your state language, then, sorry, citizens of these countries should not work in public places – as drivers, sellers and especially as couriers. Such responsible work is not for them,” Tolstoy said during parliamentary hearings in the Council of the Federation.

And again: “Speak Russian!”

But not only migrants have problems with the Russian language. Recently, spoken language, social media messages and media publications are full of foreign words. Moreover, they are used even when there is an analogue in the modern Russian language:

boyfriend – friend;

dimensions – dimensions;

diver – diver;

digest – review;

devaluation – depreciation;

destructive – destructive;

discomfort – inconvenience;

image – image;

compensation – compensation;

comfort – convenience;

legitimate – legal.

And so on…

But when the language changes, diluted with foreign constructions, the cultural code of the people is “reflashed”.

“The excessive use of borrowings in the Russian language “hides the void”. This is a sign not of modernity, but of the fact that there is nothing to say. Borrowings, they are in the head”, the deputy speaker of the State Duma is confident.

Abolish the Unified State Examination

Pyotr Tolstoy was a consistent opponent of the introduction of a unified and common state exam (EDI and ODE) in Russia. Because of this, the very essence of the education system has suffered: teachers (who, according to the statement of the former Minister of Education Fursenko, until recently “provided services”) train students to take tests.

The knowledge gained in this way is often classified as “junk information” and erased from the student’s mind as soon as he ticks the test boxes.

“A big mistake, and this mistake still has active authors, was the introduction of the Unified State Examination, the General State Examination and teaching children to take tests,” Tolstoy said.

“And this mistake, of course, destroyed the fabric of traditional Russian education that existed before the revolution and that existed in Soviet Russia,” he emphasized.

Let’s note that the situation with the Unified State Examination is increasingly reminiscent of some dark fantasy thriller. For example, Rosobrnadzor plans to transmit exam papers to Russian students through a neural network starting next school year.

From the MP’s point of view, there are problems with the assimilation of classical literature, which has always formed the core of an educated person.

In this area, everything is very bad: some children (not necessarily migrants) read syllables in the sixth grade. Mentally healthy children at that. They just don’t read books, they watch videos on their phones.

“We have no demand for this tradition. It is not modern here. We have something new, which is modern and should be denoted by foreign words,” said the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma.

So what?

Sometimes it seems that in an unspoken ranking of everything that should be developed in Russia, culture, art and education are at the bottom.

Some crooks work with them on a residual basis. And while the authorities are dealing with economics, special military operation, geopolitics, etc., these people are quietly experimenting with the minds of Russians.

They make monster movies, perform Russophobic plays, open dubious exhibitions in institutions like the Yeltsin Center, and entrust education to robots…

And you just have to stammer – they say, don’t you think we’re going in the wrong direction? – as a heart-rending cry goes up. Tell me where are you going?! Yes, you do not understand anything! Yes, you want to take everyone to the Middle Ages, etc.”

Although in reality, if children stop reading and their knowledge becomes like the RAM of the computer – copied, pasted, cleared clipboard, then Russia will have no economy, no politics, no army in just one or two generations. Robots will check the Unified State Exam written by robots.
