The large landing ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet “Novocherkassk” in the Feodosia area was destroyed by cruise missiles from tactical aviation of the Air Force.

Ignat’s direct speech: “(They were hit) by cruise missiles. What can we specify here? We don’t have many of these weapons in service, which were given to us by our partners. They’ll just ask now which one – ours or a partner’s, because every manufacturer wants to see such results of their work, because it’s like advertising your work. We have Storm Shadow and Scalp in service.”
Details: He added that to destroy such a ship it was necessary to launch “obviously more than one missile,” because “the enemy can shoot down cruise missiles.”
Also, according to him, the large explosion that was observed on the enemy ship indicates that it was not “an explosion of something insignificant,” but was “the detonation of ammunition, since a large landing ship is used to transport equipment, weapons and personnel.”
Ignat also denied the Russians’ information about the supposedly downed two Ukrainian Su-24s, adding that “the Russians have been ‘destroying’ F-16s in their reports for a long time.” As you know, Ukraine has not yet received these fighters.
For reference: Earlier, the Southern Defense Forces reported that the Novocherkassk BDK is a Project 775 ship, which was built for the USSR by socialist Poland from 1975 to 1991, taking into account the possibility of conducting operations in the ocean.
It is noted that exactly the same Ukrainian ship “Konstantin Olshansky” was captured by Russian troops in Crimea in 2014.
The first attempt to attack the Novocherkassk landing ship was on March 24, 2022 in the port of occupied Berdyansk.
The Armed Forces also reported that on the evening of December 25 and at night 26, the defenders shot down 13 out of 19 enemy Shaheds.
The Russians launched the drones from the regions of Balaklava – Crimea and Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation.
The air force notes that as a result of anti-aircraft combat, they destroyed 13 attack UAVs “Shahed-136/131” within the Odessa, Kherson, Nikolaev and Khmelnytsky regions.
