One of the sources said the most likely date such a ban will come into effect is Wednesday, September 28.
A second source said the ban will come into effect after the pseudo-referendums on joining Russia held in the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine. The last day of the pseudo-referendum is Tuesday 27 September.
The source added that the men will have to obtain permission from the military commissariat to leave the country.
It has already been reported that on Tuesday 21 September Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the so-called partial mobilization of the armed forces. The mobilized people should be sent to fight in Ukraine.
After the announcement of the mobilization, the number of Russian citizens leaving the country increased rapidly.
