Russian Attempts to Occupy Bakhmut: Ukrainian Defenses Hold Strong

According to him, the Russians continue their attempts to completely occupy Bakhmut, since this is a priority goal for them. Now the enemy wants to seize the place where the Ukrainian units are holding the defense – the southwestern part of the city.

“At the same time, on the flanks, our units are trying to put pressure on the enemy and, if possible, counterattack him as part of our defense operation. In particular, during these days it was possible to advance in different areas from 200 to 400 meters“, – said Cherevaty.

Boi for Bahmut

It is worth noting that a few days ago, the Russian invaders began to declare the complete occupation of Bakhmut. Official representatives of Ukraine denied such stuffing and noted that our defenders continue to defend part of the city.

At the same time, in May, the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine began a successful advance near Bakhmut. They were able to liberate certain positions from the Russians and continue their gradual advance.
