(ANSA) – KHARKIV, 21 OCTOBER – At least nine people were injured on Sunday evening in Russian attacks in Kharkiv, which caused power outages in at least one part of this large city in north-eastern Ukraine: the police and the local authorities. These bombings come as Ukrainian authorities fear the start of a new Russian campaign of attacks against the country’s civilian energy infrastructure. “Today – writes the Ukrainian police in a post on Telegram -, around 10pm local time the enemy hit three neighborhoods of Kharkiv. Among the wounded there are four women between 22 and 53 years old and five men between 21 and 37 years”. According to this source, “condominiums, garages, petrol stations, houses and cars were damaged” and rescuers mobilized to the affected locations. The governor of the Kharkiv region, Oleg Synegoubov, and the mayor of the big city, Oleg Terekhov, confirmed on Telegram that there are power outages in “a part” of the city. The two officials did not provide details on the exact extent of the damage, nor did they specify which energy infrastructure was affected. (HANDLE).
