What did Russia attack with?
That night, the Russians launched 40 kamikaze drones across Ukraine. The launches were from the Kursk region and from the Primorsko-Akhtarsk region. The occupiers also fired an X-59 guided missile from the occupied territory of the Kherson region.
“Shaheds” were launched in waves and sent in different directions in small groups. An air raid alert was declared in most regions and air defense was in operation.
The air defense forces destroyed 24 Shaheds and an aircraft missile.
Kharkiv
Kharkov suffered the most as a result of the night attack of the invaders. According to the prosecutor’s office, the invaders attacked the city with 10 drones, and local authorities claim 4 Shaheds.
The strikes occurred in the Osnovansky and Shevchenkovsky districts of the city. As a result of the hits, 5 fires started. An administrative building, an inactive sewing workshop building, a residential building, a service station, garages, and cars were damaged.
Then attacks 8 Kharkiv residents turned to doctors with an acute reaction to stress, including two children – a 10-year-old boy and a 2.5-year-old girl. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the shelling.
The prosecutor’s office also reported that in the Kharkov village of Korotych, two non-residential buildings caught fire due to an enemy attack.
Local media reported that the attack damaged the College of Transport Technologies in Moskalevka. The 1915 college building was significantly damaged (pictured below).
Odessa region
Once again the Odessa region came under enemy attack. As OVA notes, air defense shot down two drones in the region, but there was a hit.
The occupiers hit the technical territory of an infrastructure facility in the Odessa region. According to preliminary data, there were no serious damages or casualties.
Lviv
During the air raid, the head of the Lviv OVA reported the threat of drone strikes. We were talking about Lvov, Yavor, Strya and Morshyn.
The mayor of Lvov said that the Lvov region was threatened at night by 16 Shaheeds. According to local authorities, the military destroyed 11 enemy drones. In Lviv itself it was calm.
Later, the head of the OVA reported 5 hits on a critical infrastructure object. A fire broke out there, no one was hurt.
Ivano-Frankivsk region
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said that at about 6:00 a.m., debris from a downed drone fell in the Kalushsky district. As a result, a fire broke out in the dormitory. There is no information about casualties yet.
The head of the OBA Svetlana Onischuk said that the occupiers attacked a military facility in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, using drones. A fire broke out and the appropriate services arrived at the scene.
Where else have drones been shot down?
That night explosions were also heard in Kropyvnytskyi. The southern defense forces reported that they shot down 3 Shahed missiles and an X-59 missile in the Kirovograd region.
Two more drones were shot down in the Nikolaev region and one drone was “landed” in the Kherson, Dnepropetrovsk and Vinnytsia regions.
Zelensky promises an answer
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky thanked the military for their work. He added that Ukraine will continue to strengthen its air defense on the eve of winter.
“We realize that as winter approaches, Russian terrorists will try to cause more harm. We will respond to the enemy. Powerfully,” Zelensky wrote on social networks.
Zelensky reacted
Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak commented on the night drone attack. He said that the Russians are gradually increasing their air attacks, but the Air Force is working.
“The battle for the sky is what awaits us. And this battle will be for our infrastructure against a terrorist country. At the same time, the battle for the sea and for justice continues. There will be no Black Sea Fleet in Crimea. Crimea is Ukraine,” – he wrote.
