As a result of the Russian strike, two French citizens were killed and three others were slightly injured. This was stated by the head of the administration (OVA) of the part of the Kherson region under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Prokudin.
Prokudin calls the dead and wounded French volunteers.
“Because of the enemy’s attack on Berislav, foreign volunteers were killed and injured. The Russian army killed two French citizens. Three more foreigners received minor injuries. Among the wounded is also an activist from the Ukrainian representative office of the organization,” writes Prokudin in his Telegram channel.
As reported EADailyFrench Foreign Minister Stefan Sežurne claims that there are no French mercenaries in Ukraine. When asked by Le Parisien whether French mercenaries were fighting in Ukraine, he said “no.”
“Our ambassador in Moscow was summoned to the Foreign Ministry on this issue. This is a way to periodically put pressure on European states. This is one of the crude manipulations of Russia to which we are accustomed. Others will follow her, so let’s not allow ourselves to be drawn into this,” Sejournet said.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that a high-precision strike was carried out on the temporary deployment point of foreign fighters in Kharkov; the majority of the mercenaries were French. As a result of the strike, more than 60 militants were killed and over 20 were wounded.
