This is reported by the independent website Mediazona Thursday. The pictures from the court in St. Petersburg show that there was a violent police presence.
Skotshilenko has been in custody for a year and a half.
Every time she has been led into court in St. Petersburg, Skochilenko has smiled bravely and made the heart sign with her hands.
Now she has been convicted of spreading false information about Russia’s armed forces. Vladimir Putin introduced strict laws for this when the full-scale war started in February 2022.
– I would urge the judge to use his power wisely, Skotshilenko said in his closing remarks – and called his case “ridiculous”.
Mediazona writes that the 33-year-old has been subjected to harassment and pressure in prison. Her cell has been searched more often than other prisoners, and she has not been given special food because of celiac disease.
In addition to celiac disease, she is said to have been diagnosed with several illnesses – a cyst in her right ovary, post-traumatic stress and heart trouble.

A document was presented in the courtroom stating that she is able to serve the sentence.
She is now being sent to a penal camp somewhere in Russia. The mother Nadezhda Skotshilenko suggested this week that it is the same as a death sentence, reports Novaya Gazeta.
The mother believes that the food served in concentration camps will kill her daughter, who therefore suffers from celiac disease.
According to the website OVD-info, there are currently 108 legal cases of a political nature in Russia right now.
Skotshilenko is an artist, musician and writer – and an open lesbian.
During the trial, prosecutor Irina Nikandrova read out correspondence from the digital dupes that the police seized from Skotshilenko.
There it emerged that she had used the word “idiot” about Putin, talked about “the Russians being deceived” when there are elections and praised the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyj for being “lively and humane”, reports Mediazona.
The well-known and internationally awarded film director Aleksandr Sokurov was among those present when the verdict was read out on Thursday.
