A purge has begun in the Russian army, which reaches even the military command. This was stated by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Pyotr Andryushchenko, UNIAN news agency reported.
It posted a post by separatist Yuri Yevitch saying Russian generals had recently been arrested “for heavy losses.”

“It is quite logical – this had to happen sooner or later. The ratio of losses of everything – from people to equipment – cannot but lead to a search for the guilty. And so, the purge began,” Andryushchenko wrote on his Telegram channel.
Russia suffered huge losses on the front in Ukraine, especially heavy losses in the battles for Bakhmut and Avdeevka. According to figures from Kiev, which have not been confirmed by Western sources, since the beginning of the invasion, 340,000 Russian soldiers have died at the front.
