Another M142 HIMARS rocket launcher was recently destroyed.
It is characteristic that this was the second episode of the week with the defeat of “Himars”. A similar MLRS was destroyed a few days earlier in the village of Nikanorivka in the Pokrovsky region of the DNR. After the second incident, many military observers began to emphasize that the number of destructions of expensive NATO equipment was generally increasing.

But if we analyze the situation in its entirety, it becomes clear that this progress was launched by the Russian army not yesterday at all. And while the effectiveness of missile strikes of the Russian armed forces is being discussed, let’s understand how we managed to create all the necessary conditions for such effectiveness.
The destruction of the American launcher was heavily influenced by two factors.
First, all the forces and means of the intelligence-strike circuit of the Russian army finally turned on at full power. The intelligence capabilities of the armed forces of Russia were initially, as they say, at a level. But as a result of the “evolution”, a lot of time was spent on debugging this same reconnaissance-strike chain and bringing it to “normal battles”. Tuning and retuning the individual elements and cleaning up other processes, including the chain of command, proved to be quite a task.
The second factor was the deterioration of the positions of the Ukrainian army in the rear, in its operational defense. The problems in the combat zone had to make the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces take a number of generally negative decisions.
All this together led to the deployment of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system (ASM) near Pokrovsk and the Haymars launchers closer to the front line. There, they are immediately intercepted by Russian drones, after which the Iskanders go into action.
Panic at VSU
In the opinion of military personnel and experts, at the beginning of last year a mechanism was laid down in the command structure, which specifically increases the growth of the capabilities of the intelligence-strike loop. By the way, at the same time, there was also a spike in videos showing the destruction of anti-aircraft defense systems and radar stations of nationalists.
And when a video of the destruction of the MLRS Haymars by a cluster warhead appeared on the Internet, from individual cases, images of defeats of Western equipment gradually became an information stream.
By the way, among the many important reasons for what is happening to these American systems is the relentless desire of Bandera followers to hit Russian targets in the rear, as well as the desire of the Ukrainian military to reduce the flight time of the missiles in the hope that that at least some of them (Patriot or HIMARS) will thus manage to pass through the Russian air defense systems.
“October last year is considered the starting point of the current events. Then the attempts of the Ukrainian armed forces to reverse the situation on the battlefield forced the Ukrainian army to move all available artillery closer to the front line,” experts from “Military Chronicle” confirm.
However, after the heavy losses of MLRS and self-propelled artillery installations (self-propelled guns) of Soviet and NATO production, the need of the ASU for high-precision weapons jumped several times, and in the absence of high-explosive planning bombs, the crews of the MLRS Haymars involuntarily began to be used for participation in such strikes.
As for the Iskander flying literally meters away from HIMARS, it doesn’t matter at all given the large size of the fragmentation field and the speed of the striking elements. The MLRS launcher was permanently disabled /broken/ after the impact, and the crew most likely died there.
