Russian Army Fires 17 Drones and Missiles in Air Strikes on Ukraine, Energy Supply Affected

The Russian army fired 17 drones and missiles in air strikes last night at targets throughout Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force reports on Telegram. An energy supply was affected in the northeast of the country. The Ukrainian Air Force says its anti-aircraft system has destroyed 14 drones and one missile over provinces in the west, east and south of the country.

The governor of the northeastern province of Kharkiv, Oleh Synyehoebov, reported last night that the city of Lybotyn had been hit by Russian missiles. According to the governor, there were no fatalities. Several buildings are said to have suffered damage.

The southeastern province of Dnipropetrovsk has also become the target of several airstrikes, Governor Serhi Lysak reports on Telegram. Following a drone attack on a power plant, parts of the city of Pavlohrad lost power. There were no deaths or injuries.

Russia has been carrying out missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities almost every day since the beginning of winter. The Ukrainian energy supply is often the target. This regularly causes power outages in Ukrainian cities.
