According to Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the President’s Office, the Russian command in temporarily occupied Kherson is preparing to defend or surrender the city. He stated this in interview Mark Feigin.

“I can say for sure that the Russian military leadership is not just considering, but has taken specific measures to prepare Kherson for defense and one more option – for surrender,” he said.
The adviser to the head of the OP added that the command of the occupiers is seriously considering the possible loss of the city.
“These are practical measures, concrete measures taken on the ground,” he added.
Arestovich refused to comment in detail on the advance of Ukrainian troops in the direction of Kherson, but noted that “certain actions are underway.”
According to him, this is very difficult, because on the right bank of the Dnieper the territory is very indented with canals, and on the left – the required number of troops still needs to get there.
