If Pyongyang can maintain this level and speed of deliveries – more than 1,000 containers in the past few weeks – it will become one of Russia’s main arms suppliers alongside Iran and Belarus, according to a British intelligence report.

British military intelligence analysts suggest that the full package of measures has not yet been agreed upon, but it is highly likely that it was discussed during recent visits by senior Russian officials to North Korea.
Pyongyang is likely to be promised financial aid and other economic support, access to military technology and cooperation in other areas such as space exploration, according to intelligence officials.
