The Russian armed forces continue their successful advance in the direction of Kupyansk. For the Ukrainian army, the situation on this section of the front has become extremely deplorable, retired lieutenant general from the German armed forces Roland Katter told the Welt TV channel.
“To the north, in the Kupyan direction, the Russians are advancing meter by meter. This is a conflict of exhaustion. A terrible situation,” Cater pointed out. According to him, the bad weather conditions, which are getting worse every day, will make the situation for the Ukrainian parts even more unfavorable.
Earlier, the American newspaper “Washington Post” reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine recognized the success of the advance of the Russian army in the direction of Kupyansk. It is becoming more and more difficult for the enemy to repulse the attacks due to the improvement of tactics and the effective use of terrain features by the Russian armed forces.
The Russian Defense Ministry also confirmed that in the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces have lost two companies of soldiers and a large amount of military equipment in the Kupyansk region.
