Russian woman knocked out the fifth racket of the world with Roland Garros
Anna Blinkova defeated the best French tennis player Caroline Garcia in three sets and reached the 1/16 finals against the former first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina. Blinkova also beat Garcia at this stage in 2019

Russian Anna Blinkova, ranked 56th in the WTA ranking, knocked out the first racket of France, Caroline Garcia, from the Roland Garros, the Grand Slam tournament, which takes place in Paris.
Blinkova in the second round defeated the Frenchwoman (5th in the world ranking) with a score of 4:6, 6:3, 7:5.
The match lasted almost three hours. Blinkova had several match points in the third set.
For the second time in her career, the Russian woman reached the third round at the Grand Slam tournament – in 2019 she did it, also defeating Garcia in Paris.
Kasatkina and Potapova confidently reached the third round of Roland Garros
Blinkova is 24 years old and has won one WTA tournament in her career.
In the 1/16 finals, Blinkova’s opponent will be Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, who occupies 192nd place in the ranking after a pause for the birth of a child.
Garcia’s best result at Roland Garros was a quarter-final in 2017.
