Russian animator Varya Yakovleva’s film Oneluv has been longlisted for the Oscars, the SHAR animation film school-studio reported.
“In November, Varya Yakovleva’s film Vanlove, produced by the SHAR studio, passed the qualifying selection of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the Animated Short Film category,” the studio-school said in a statement on VKontakte.
The film tells “about a girl who, left alone with uninvited, aggressive guests in her own home, turns from a victim into a predator and fights back against her offenders.”
