Russian and Belarusian trucks are no longer allowed in Finland

According to the new European Union (EU) sanctions approved in response to Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, Finland has been banning all trucks with Russian and Belarusian license plates from entering the country on Saturday, the Finnish public broadcaster YLE reports.

All trucks with Russian and Belarusian license plates will be stopped and returned. This applies to trucks and even vans if they will contain customs cargo, the official said.

From Saturday, according to EU-approved sanctions, trucks from Russia and Belarus will be barred from entering the entire territory of the bloc, but existing vehicles must leave the EU by 16 April.
