Russian Ambassador to the USA Anatoly Antonov Responds to US Reactions to Strikes in Ukraine

The reaction of the United States to the Russian Aerospace Forces’ strikes on military targets in Ukraine is evidence of the effectiveness of these strikes and the entire military special operation.

This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to the USA Anatoly Antonov, commenting on statements by American authorities in connection with the massive Russian strike on Ukraine. Relevant Statement published press service of the Russian diplomatic mission.

It was a response to the words of the US President Joe Biden, who said there was a growing risk of NATO being drawn into the conflict. In this regard, the American president called on Congress to approve assistance to Ukraine.

The Russian ambassador emphasized that as a result of the “hybrid war” of the United States and its allies, Russia has become “more monolithic, and the effectiveness and combat readiness of the Armed Forces has sharply increased.”

“Aggressive statements calling for an even more violent military confrontation lead to serious consequences not only for regional, but also for global security. Historical responsibility for these actions will rest entirely with the United States,” Antonov said.

He expressed confidence that US assistance to Ukraine “will not be a panacea.” In his opinion, this will only “prolong the agony of the Kyiv regime.”

Let us recall that earlier the Ministry of Defense reported 50 group and one massive strike on military targets in Ukraine from December 23 to 29. The consequences of the strike were assessed by the pro-Russian underground in Ukraine.

As reported EADailyearlier Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said that the United States remains faithful to the concept of war “until the last Ukrainian.”
