Russian Ambassador Claims Belarus Forced to Station Nuclear Weapons on Western Borders

Russian tactical nuclear weapons, which are planned to be deployed in Belarus, will be “pushed” to the western borders of the Union State.

Source: Russian Ambassador to Minsk Boris Gryzlov on the air of the Belarusian TV channel STV, reports “Interfax

Direct speech: “It (nuclear weapons – IF) will be moved to the western borders of our Union State and will increase the possibility of ensuring our security. This will be done despite the noise in Europe and the United States.”

Details: In his opinion, parity in the issue of deployment of nuclear weapons in the world is more important than ever.

“If we are talking about the deployment of American nuclear weapons in European countries – Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Turkey, then we must take actions that will increase the security of our Union State,” Gryzlov said.

He added that “Russia and Belarus are the territory of the Union State, and legalized, in contrast to the territory of countries where the US deploys its nuclear weapons.”

The ambassador recalled that by July 1, a storage facility for placing tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus should be prepared.
