“The enemy flew over the railway line at the Barbenkovo station on the Donetsk line,” Kamishin told Telegram.

This is the only Kiev-controlled railway line that could still be used to evacuate people from the still-controlled regions of Eastern Ukraine.

It was “the lifeline of tens of thousands of our citizens today,” Kamishin said.

“We are waiting for the bombing to end to clarify the situation. The passengers of these trains have been transferred to the station until it is done,” Kamishin said.

The Ukrainian authorities have called on the population to evacuate east of Ukraine, where Russian attacks are expected, as soon as possible.

The head of the Luhansk district administration, Serhiy Hayday, said today that this is the last chance to leave, as Russian troops are trying to block all attempts to evacuate people.
