According to Interfax News, a Boeing 777 aircraft belonging to the Russian airline Rossiya, which operated the Hong Kong-Madrid (Spain) route, made an emergency landing at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport around 4:44 am on the same day.
Rossiya is a subsidiary of the Russian national airline Aeroflot.
The captain of the Boeing 777 in question requested an emergency landing from Sheremetyevo Airport, claiming that one of the engine control channels on the left had failed, the news agency said.
The source told the communication that “the aircraft landed safely and no one was injured.”
The Boeing aircraft is known to have been carrying cargo.
