British military intelligence predicts that Russia will increase the participation of its airborne troops in offensive operations against Ukraine, BTA reports.

Russian airborne units, which have suffered heavy losses in recent months, are now equipped with TOS-1A heavy flamethrower systems, known as “Solntsepek”, according to a statement published today by the British Ministry of Defence.
Until now, the system was used by a special unit of the Russian army in Ukraine to protect other units from biological, chemical and nuclear weapons.
According to the British Ministry of Defense, the TOS-1A was not used by airborne units that operate with helicopters and paratroopers.
