Neither party has confirmed what happened. But the Russian Air Force may have had one of its worst days since the start of the war. Ukraine may have “made a coup”.

Something remarkable may have happened in the airspace over the Russian county of Bryansk on Saturday. Two Russian planes and two helicopters met an unpleasant fate. It happened less than 50 kilometers from the border with northern Ukraine.

Exactly what happened is still not entirely clear. Neither Russia nor Ukraine has so far wanted to go public with any details.
