The Russian Ministry of Defense announced, on Sunday, that the air defenses shot down at least 4 Ukrainian drones over two regions in western Russia.
The ministry said that 3 drones were shot down over the Belgorod region, and a fourth drone was shot down over the Kursk region.
She added that these incidents did not result in human losses or damage.
Drone strikes inside Russia have increased since the destruction of a drone over the Kremlin in early May.
Civilian areas of the Russian capital were bombed later in May, and a commercial district of Moscow was targeted twice in three days earlier this month.
