The US Treasury imposed sanctions against Belarusian officials and banks for “support and assistance” Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Sanctions were, among other things, imposed against two Belarusian banks Belinvestbank and Bank Dabrabyt, as well as the Minister of Defense of Belarus Viktor Khrenin and State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Alexander Volfovich, informs press service of the Ministry of Finance.
“Having already sacrificed its legitimacy to suppress the democratic aspirations of the Belarusian people, the Lukashenka regime is now jeopardizing the sovereignty of Belarus by supporting further Russian invasion of Ukraine,” Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen was quoted as saying.
