Russia’s opposition Mikhail Khodorkovsky has spoken on his Telegram channel about a number of possible scenarios following President Vladimir Putin’s departure.
He outlined a number of options, including that “Putinists” would remain in Russia after Putin came to power, and did not rule out the possibility of the country collapsing.
Option 1: “Putinists” come to power
“Putinists retain power after Putin’s departure. Russia continues its imperial policy … civil and imperialist wars will continue. Everything is sad.
Option 2: The collapse of Russia
Commenting on the variant of Russia’s collapse, the opposition noted: “The country will finally collapse. 5-7 nuclear states will be formed on its ruins, which will have controversial administrative borders and will most likely fight for enlargement. The war is likely to become a nuclear war if the conflict is internationalized,” .
