In the Russian Federation, they are working on collecting materials and preparing a lawsuit against Ukraine for damage that was caused as a result of the water blockade of the occupied Crimea. To the court working group is going to submit documents by the end of 2021.
This was told by the head of the Committee on Legislation of the “State Council” of Crimea Sergei Trofimov, writes “TASS”… He also noted that at the moment “very painstaking work is underway to confirm the damage.”
“The information that we will submit to the arbitration court is subject to a very clear and painstaking check, the collection of a huge amount of documents. Relevant instructions have been given to the republican ministries so that each figure has a justification, this work is underway, but it takes time,” Trofimov said.
Let us recall that before the occupation of Crimea, about 85% of the needs of local residents with fresh water were provided by the North Crimean Canal, which runs from the Dnieper. After the “referendum”, Ukraine blocked it.
Earlier it was reported that the “authorities” of Crimea assessed the damage from the termination of Ukraine’s supply of water and light 1.47 trillion rubles (about 550 billion hryvnia).
“As soon as we back up this amount with all the necessary documents, the claim will be brought to court,” said the “vice-speaker” of the Crimean parliament, controlled by the Kremlin, Yefim Fiks.
