At the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2021, a fundamentally new military aircraft developed by the United Aircraft Building Company will be presented. This was reported by the press service of Rostec.
“Russia is one of the few countries in the world that has full-cycle technologies for the production of advanced aircraft systems, as well as a recognized” trendsetter “in the creation of combat aircraft,” the message says. “We are convinced that the new product developed by UAC specialists will arouse genuine interest not only in our country, but also in other regions of the world, including our competitors abroad.”
The corporation has created an official web page for the project. There is a countdown to the premiere of the novelty, which will take place on July 20.
Earlier it became known that work began in the Russian Federation to create a new platform for operational-tactical aviation. A light fighter will be developed on its basis. In 2019, the MiG aircraft construction company placed a tender for the “aerodynamic design of a light multifunctional front-line twin-engine aircraft.” The implementation of the project is scheduled for 2020-2025.
In addition, Sukhoi, a subsidiary of the United Aircraft Company, is reported to be developing Russia’s first single-engine light tactical fighter. The aircraft will have supersonic speed and low radar signature.
MAKS-2021 this year will be held from 20 to 25 July in Zhukovsky near Moscow.
