Russia will play with Germany in the quarter finals of the youth world hockey championship

The Russian national team will play with a team from Germany in the 1/4 finals of the World Youth Hockey Championship. The match will take place on January 2 at 20:00 Moscow time. The rival was determined after the victory of the USA in the group stage match with Sweden.

The USA-Sweden match took place in Edmonton, Canada and ended 4-0. Goals were scored by Drew Helleson (2), Trevor Zegras (4), Ryan Johnson (23), Alex Turcotte (24).

The USA took first place in Group B (9 points). Russia is on the second line (8). Now the Russian team must play with the team that took the third place in Group A – Germany.

The Swedes will play in the quarter finals with the Finns, and the Americans with the Slovaks. Team Canada, which took first place in Group A, will play with the Czech Republic. The World Championship will end on the night of January 6.
