Russia will “find alternatives” if the US imposes new sanctions against it. About it declared Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov in an interview with RTVI TV channel, informs TASS on Thursday, January 13.
According to Ryabkov, the most “rabid opponents” of the Russian Federation among American politicians, analysts and political scientists understand that allegedly all previous sanctions against Russia have not had any effect.
“We will find alternatives, no matter what happens. Russia has never caved in under pressure, never succumbed to threats and blackmail,” Ryabkov said.
According to him, “the most serious people” in the US, who “know firsthand what Russia is,” come to the conclusion that if “just a little more pressure, then everything will happen.”
“This is even against our psychological makeup, against our entire history and our self-consciousness,” Ryabkov asserts.
On the eve of the US Senate introduced bill on new sanctions against Russia, which will be introduced in the event of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The sanctions will affect Russia’s top political and military leadership, financial institutions, the mining industry and Nord Stream 2.
