He noted that the Ukrainian side is now being offered a “Korean option” – the so-called conditional “38th parallel”, along which the separation of South Korea and North Korea had previously occurred.
“Here are Ukrainians like this, but not like Ukrainians here. Russians will now come up with whatever they want. I know for sure that one of the options they can offer us is the 38th parallel,” Danilov said.
In this context, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council added that he recently spoke with representatives of Korea, who “believe that there was a big mistake then, that they made concessions, agreed on what was necessary for the sake of conservation … But today there are problems.”
Danilov said that now Dmitry Kozak, deputy head of the presidential administration of the Russian Federation, goes to meetings with past politicians in Europe, and through them “transmits messages that they are ready for many concessions to fix the status quo, such as is today, and force us to reach some sort of truce.”
